A little forehand or backhand anyone?
My 3rd-6th graders have been doing a tennis unit this quarter and I'm so impressed every day how talented they are...(or they must just have a great P.E. teacher! ha). Check out these strokes. We practice the learning cues for the forehand and backhand by repeating them...stagger feet, shoulder, and MILK (low to high motion...like picking up a glass of milk off the floor and throwing it over your shoulder). This little hint can help anyone have a great stroke in TENNIS! I'd love to do a mini tennis session for the staff who are interested....let me know if you'd like to in the Spring!
My fantastic Overhead Throw Students
Side, Arm, Step, and Follow (throw) are the learning cues for the Overhead Throw. I am so proud of my little sweeties. Even the CD classes have this down! Way to go Ms. Houser's class for being in this video! Ms. Strong is very proud of you!
I model, then the kids try it with an imaginary ball, then they aim at targets..... I bet their favorite part is when we play a game at the end and they get to aim at ME!!!!
